Human-Agent Interaction Laboratory

Dr. Nagender Aneja is an Assistant Professor in the School of Digital Science at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam in Brunei Darussalam and a Visiting Research Scholar in the Department of Computer Science at Purdue University. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, India, and his M.E. in Computer Technology and Applications from Delhi College of Engineering. His research interests include Deep Learning, Computer Vision, and Natural Language Processing.

He has more than 20 years of experience in computer science and has worked as Associate IP Lead for Microsoft Patent Research Services at CPA Global India for five years. Several process innovations have been developed by him, including the development of automation tools for patent analysis at CPA Global, as well as the development of an expert directory for Universiti Brunei Darussalam. He has also held teaching and research positions at various universities in India and Brunei Darussalam. He is a highly experienced and accomplished researcher who has published over 35 papers in top academic journals and conferences. He also received several awards, including the Brunei ICT Award 2016 for a mobile app that creates a social network with nearby users by matching interests in airplane mode. He also received the Research Award 2020-21 from J C Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA Faridabad India, for several SCIE-indexed publications during his Ph.D. He has two patents from the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
